Over 3,000 promotion programmes launched during concentrated national promotional month

More than 3,000 programmes with promotions of over 50% have been implemented across the country after three weeks of the implementation of the concentrated national promotional month entitled ‘Vietnam’s Grand Sale 2020’.

In detail, there are nearly 400 programmes offering discounts from 80 to 100%, nearly 700 programmes offering discounts from 60% to 79%, and over 1,900 programmes offering discounts from 50 to 69%.

Programmes with huge discounts focus on the areas of garments and textiles, consumer goods, and electronic products via supermarket chains, retail systems and e-commerce trading platforms.

2020 is the first year that the Ministry of Industry and Trade has implemented the concentrated national promotion month on a national scale. Through the programme, enterprises will proactively carry out promotional events to supply products with affordable prices for consumers.

The implementation of the promotional month is also expected to enhance the awareness of consumers on Vietnamese goods and services, thereby boosting the consumption of Vietnamese goods.

After the promotional month, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will propose the building of policies in support of enterprises participating in a similar event in the future.
