At the meeting, Alounxay SounNaLath informed the leaders of Dong Thap Province about the socio-economic development situation in Champasak Province.
He shared his hope that in the coming time, the provinces of Champasak and Dong Thap will continue to promote and enhance their friendly and economic cooperation, while at the same time calling on businesses from Dong Thap Province to invest in Champasak Province in areas such as tourism and agricultural product production.
On the occasion, he also expressed his hope that the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two parties, the two states, and especially between the provinces of Dong Thap and Champasak will forever be sustainable.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Le Quoc Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap Province, expressed his joy and gratitude for the attention and affection of the leaders and people of Champasak Province for Dong Thap Province on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the Vietnamese people.
He congratulated Champasak Province on its impressive socio-economic development results in the past year. Comrade Le Quoc Phong also informed the delegation about the socio-economic development situation of Dong Thap Province in 2024 as well as development orientations for 2025 and the period to 2030.
The provincial Party secretary expressed his hope that 2025 will see the two provinces increase delegation exchanges and survey the actual needs of the two localities so that businesses from both sides can seek cooperation opportunities in areas where both have strengths.
He also called on Champasak businesses to come and explore investment opportunities in Dong Thap.
