In addition, the representative of the Centre for Rural Economy Development (CRED) introduced the incentives from the BioTrade project, supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, for the coconut industry and coconut-related industries in Vietnam.
The project focuses on promoting the trade of sustainably produced and sourced goods and services under environmental, social, and economic sustainability criteria.
On this occasion, the United Overseas Bank Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnam Coconut Association on supporting businesses in the coconut industry and coconut-related industries, to access credit and other services to serve their production and business in the new situation.

Up until now, Vietnam has more than 90 enterprises exporting their coconut products to the world market. Of these, 40 have affirmed that their brands have contributed to improving the reputation of Vietnam's coconut industry.
Vietnam's coconut industry ranks fourth in Asia in terms of production and export capacity. Production and business activities of Vietnam's coconut industry are increasingly methodical and focus on the application of newer scientific and technological achievements. Enterprises have invested in their material areas, meeting international standards.
