The function was attended by Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, who awarded the Labour Order, second class, to Dai An JSC, the company that operates the park, and its president and CEO Truong Tu Phuong.
Since its establishment in 2003 Dai An Industrial Park has made a positive contribution to local development in terms of attracting foreign investment, creating jobs and modernising infrastructure, said Hai Duong Chairman Nguyen Duong Thai.
As of 2018 the occupancy rate of the 170-hectare park had reached 95%, while construction on a 189-hectare expansion has been 85% completed.
Dai An houses 87 projects, 80 of which are foreign-invested from 15 countries and territories with a total capital of US$1.8 billion.
Enterprises in the park contribute VND800-900 billion (US$34.4-38.7 million) to the state budget annually and are employing more than 38,000 workers.
Dai An President and CEO Truong Tu Phuong stated that the company not only invests in infrastructure works inside the park but also the outside transport infrastructure in order to support secondary investors and improve the infrastructure for nearby rural communes.
On the occasion, Dai An JSC donated VND650 million worth of goods which will be presented to poor people and another VND350 million to help a local school upgrade its infrastructure.
