Over the past decade, AstraZeneca has invested more than 400 million USD in research, development, and healthcare cooperation programmes in Viet Nam.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for AstraZeneca’s partnership with Viet Nam during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also highly appreciated the corporation’s long-term vision and strong sense of social responsibility for contributing to building an advanced and sustainable healthcare system in Viet Nam through various practical initiatives.

Deputy PM Nguyen Chi Dung encouraged AstraZeneca to expand its research and development activities in Viet Nam by establishing research centres, laboratories, and shared infrastructure to develop Viet Nam into the corporation’s hub in Southeast Asia for clinical trials, technology transfer, and medical training.

The Vietnamese Government remains committed to supporting British investors, including AstraZeneca, in cooperating and doing business effectively and sustainably in Viet Nam.
