The Government Office has issued Notice No. 2/TB-VPCP on the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of the National Civil Aviation Security Committee at the recent meeting of the Committee.

The Deputy PM requested the Ministry of Public Security to implement plans and measures to ensure public order, aviation security and safety during the peak periods of the New Year holiday, the Lunar New Year, and the 14th National Party Congress, thereby creating a solid foundation for aviation security work in preparation for the APEC 2027 Conference to be hosted in Viet Nam.

The Ministry of Construction was urged to direct the Civil Aviation Authority, relevant localities, and airport and aerodrome operators to urgently inspect and review conditions to ensure the highest level of readiness in search and rescue and fire-fighting work.

The Ministry of National Defence was directed to take the lead, in coordination with relevant agencies, in developing plans and organising drills for the prevention and response to terrorism and riots, and countermeasures against unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

They should formulate plans for rescue and relief operations and for handling situations involving unrest or drone attacks, ensuring no passivity in the event of incidents, to be completed before the opening of the 14th National Party Congress.
