Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Long Hai, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies, said that the recent abnormal and exceptionally heavy rains and floods in provinces and cities across the central and Central Highlands regions had caused extremely severe damage to life and property.
In response to the situation, the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat promptly expressed sympathy for the losses and hardships faced by the Party organisations, authorities, and people in the affected localities. They also urgently established five working delegations led by senior leaders of the Party and the State to inspect, direct and accelerate efforts to overcome the consequences of the floods in various provinces.
The Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies, together with the entire staff, civil servants, and employees of the agency, donated at least one day’s salary to support people affected by natural disasters and flooding, helping them quickly stabilise their lives and resume production.
Ha Noi continues to support localities in overcoming flood consequences
After providing urgent assistance of 50 billion VND to Gia Lai Province on November 21 to promptly support people affected by the recent floods, Ha Noi has continued to allocate an additional 200 billion VND to help build resettlement areas and repair transport infrastructure damaged by storms and flooding, continuing its support for affected localities.
Alongside support for Gia Lai Province, Ha Noi has also allocated 10 billion VND from the city’s Relief Fund to the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, promptly responding to the call of Bui Thi Minh Hoai, President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, to support people affected by storms and floods, further reinforcing its commitment to assisting affected residents.
On November 24, Nguyen Van Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee, continued to present 30 billion VND in support to the provinces of Dak Lak, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa, each receiving 10 billion VND.
