The 2024 exhibition of ornamental creatures of the Red River Delta provinces kicked off in Ninh Binh province on April 14, with the theme "The Essence of the Ancient Capital".

The event is among the activities aimed at celebrating the 10th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of the Trang An Landscape Complex as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site.

Opening the exhibition, Dinh Van Thu, Chairman of Ninh Binh City Committee and Head of the organising board, said that this exhibition is large in scale, gathering many elite ornamental products with high quality and diversity in product types from associations, craft villages, clubs, and ornamental artisans of 15 provinces and cities nationwide.

The exhibition displays more than 1,000 works of art, mainly ornamental plants, antiques, ornamental stones, gems, wood, and miniatures by many outstanding artisans and famous gardeners from across the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province, emphasised that bonsai art has been a traditional cultural beauty of Vietnamese people since ancient times, expressing the love for nature, creative spirit, beliefs, and aspirations of profound humanity, thus contributing to economic development.
