The 519km transmission line, stretching from Pho Noi in the northern province of Hung Yen to Quang Trach in the central province of Quang Binh, traverses nine provinces and has a cost of around 22 trillion VND (916 million USD).
Its construction began in January 2024 to meet growing demand for power in peak times. Compensation and site clearance have already been completed, paving the way for swift progress.
Chairing a meeting with ministries, agencies and localities on July 22, the fourth of its kind in the past sixth months, PM Chinh said the project holds significance to socio-economic development, national defence-security and social welfare of localities it serves.
He urged ministries, agencies, localities and units to redouble their efforts, strengthen unity, boost determination and effectiveness to complete the project with the highest sense of responsibility.
