On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Cuba (December 2, 1960–2025) and the celebration of the “Viet Nam–Cuba Friendship Year,” the Embassy of Viet Nam in Cuba organised a cultural visit and hands-on activities for pupils from Vo Thi Thang Primary School in Havana on June 6.
Le Quang Long, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Cuba, warmly welcomed the students to the Embassy and to the “Miniature Viet Nam” programme — an event designed especially for young Cubans interested in discovering and learning more about Viet Nam, its people, and its culture.
Within the cosy setting of the Vietnamese Embassy, the students toured an exhibition space displaying Vietnamese cultural artefacts and watched a short film showcasing Viet Nam’s majestic landscapes, dynamic development, friendly people, and rich cultural heritage.
The students also visited an art display featuring prize-winning drawings from a competition held to celebrate Viet Nam–Cuba relations. The artworks, full of youthful creativity, vividly expressed the deep and special bond between the two nations. In addition, the students participated in a quiz game themed around Viet Nam and the 65-year-long relationship between the two countries.
Highlighting the significance of the “Miniature Viet Nam” programme, Ambassador Le Quang Long expressed his hope that these experiences will inspire the students to become future ambassadors of Viet Nam–Cuba friendship, helping to spread, uphold, and strengthen the enduring ties between the two nations.
