Germany’s left-wing party delegation visits Nhan Dan Newspaper

A delegation of Germany's left-wing Die Linke Party, led by Deputy Chairman Maximilian Schirmer who is also Chairman of the Die Linke Party in Berlin, visited Nhan Dan Newspaper on November 20 during their official trip to Vietnam.

At the reception, Minh said that the Communist Party of Vietnam is making great preparations for the 14th National Party Congress. As the leading body, playing a pivotal role in guiding Vietnam's revolutionary press, Nhan Dan Newspaper will strive to enhance its role in the upcoming propaganda efforts.

In the context of the global information explosion, he noted that Nhan Dan Newspaper needs to strengthen the official information channel to guide public opinion.

Over the past 73 years, Nhan Dan Newspaper has evolved into a multi-platform media outlet, incorporating print, digital, television, and radio formats. Notably, the newspaper has leveraged the growth of social media to effectively disseminate information to readers, particularly younger audiences.

Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh affirmed that, on one hand, Nhan Dan Newspaper continues to uphold its mission of conveying the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies. On the other hand, it is expanding its content to reach a wider audience, particularly the younger generations.

He also expressed his hope that Nhan Dan Newspaper will receive more support from international partners to further develop in a more professional manner and more German journalist delegations would visit Vietnam to share their experiences.

For his part, Deputy Chairman of Germany's left-wing Die Linke Party Maximilian Schirmer expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception given to the delegation by the Nhan Dan Newspaper.

He believed that the visit would provide many valuable exchanges on journalism and professional practices from both perspectives, thus drawing practical lessons from Vietnam for the delegation.

He Germany's left-wing Die Linke Party is focusing on communications through local newspapers, direct information booths, and newsletters sent to party members via e-mail, in order to deliver the party’s information and strategies to target groups, especially the young population in Germany.

Maximilian Schirmer expressed his hope that Nhan Dan Newspaper would continue to promote cooperation mechanisms and enhance information about the relationship between the two sides, thereby contributing to a deeper and more substantial development of the relations between the two parties and two countries.
