The MOJ is entrusted to report the suggestion to the National Assembly Standing Committee, to include a draft law on amendments and supplements to the Law on Vietnamese Nationality in the working schedule of the 13th National Assembly’s seventh session, for consideration and approval.

The MOJ is also asked to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to compile and send the draft law to the Government’s regular meeting in April for discussion, while co-ordinating with MOFA and the Ministry of Public Security to prepare draft amendments and supplements to the Decree on simplifying administrative procedures and creating favourable conditions for OV to register for maintaining Vietnamese nationality and conducting other related procedures.

In addition, the three ministries were entrusted to review the implementation of the 2008 Law on Vietnamese Nationality in the near future.
