The fair is jointly held by the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) and AEON Vietnam with the aim of supporting enterprises to introduce and consume their products as well as to seek cooperation opportunities and approach the modern retail distribution system of AEON Group.

The event is also an activity to implement the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the People's Committee of Hanoi, and Japan's AEON Group towards achieving export turnover of 500 million USD in 2020 and 1 billion USD in 2025 through the AEON distribution system.
More than 70 enterprises and owners of OCOP products from Hanoi and 14 provinces across the countries have attended the trade fair, which will run until December 19.

HPA Director Nguyen Anh Duong said that the promotion of export through foreign distribution channels has opened door for Vietnamese agricultural products to enter the international market.
He noted that the trade promotion fair to boost Hanoi agricultural and OCOP products is an important annual event which has attracted the participation of many enterprises and nearly 40 provinces and cities nationwide to promote thousands of agricultural products and OCOP products.
Through the fair, enterprises with potential and owners of OCOP products will be selected to become suppliers of AEON Group.
The event aims to help enterprises seek cooperation opportunities and approach the modern retail distribution system of AEON Group.
Activities to connect goods producers with distributors not only take place directly at the fair but also on the website at nongsanantoanhanoi.gov.vn.
Previously, Hanoi Agriculture Fair 2021 was opened at AEON Mall Long Bien with the participation of nearly 40 enterprises.
