The event is also an annual activity to realise Hanoi’s commitment to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) after joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, he said, adding that it contributes to raising awareness for businesses and the social community on creativeness in the development of cultural industries.

Hanoi, with its outstanding cultural legacy and large number of creative people today, possesses massive potentials to use creativity as a catalyst for socio-economic development.

Speaking at the event, Christian Manhart, UNESCO Representative to Vietnam said “That is why UNESCO is happy to join hands with the city in organizing the Creative Design Festival, as a platform for talents across sectors for collective growth. The festival will make its contribution to the sustainable development of the city.”.
