Hanoi honours oustanding enterprises and entrepreneurs

A ceremony was held by Hanoi Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Association (Hanoisme) at the Hanoi Opera House on October 24 to honour outstanding enterprises and entrepreneurs.

The event was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue.

In the first nine months of 2020, Hanoi recorded 19,787 newly-established enterprises with a total registered capital of VND258.115 trillion, bringing the number of enterprises in the capital city to 297,601.

Small and medium-sized enterprises in Hanoi contribute over 30% to the state budget revenue as well as creating many jobs, contributing to social security.

At the ceremony, six collectives and individuals honourably received first-class, second-class and third-class Labour Orders. The Hanoisme was granted the second-class Labour Order.

In addition, nearly 200 enterprises and individuals were presented with Thang Long Cups, Emulation Flags and certificates of merit from the Chairman of Hanoi municipal People’s Committee and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

Also on the occasion, the capital’s enterprises donated over VND11.3 billion to support people affected by flooding in the central provinces and over VND1.6 billion to help children living in difficult circumstances and policy beneficiary families.
