The event features over 100 booths displaying consumer goods, industrial products, handicrafts, organic foods and products within the One Commune One Product programme.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, HDIT Deputy Director Nguyen Dinh Thang stated that since the start of the year, Hanoi’s industrial production has risen by 8.3% over the same period last year.

Total retail sales and consumer services also grew by 19.2%.

However, the sale of Vietnamese goods is still struggling, especially agricultural products, seafood and fruits.

Therefore, the Vietnamese goods week is held to support enterprises and farmers to sell their products.

Through the programme, enterprises will have an opportunity to promote their brands and bring their products closer to customers, while consumers will have access to high-quality domestically produced goods.

The event, held on Hoi Xa Street in Phuc Loi Ward, will last until September 20.
