Ho Chi Minh City: More than 500 booths displayed at Vietnam Foodexpo 2024

On November 13, the Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition (Vietnam Foodexpo) 2024 kicked off at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring over 500 booths of nearly 400 Vietnamese and foreign enterprises.

The participating enterprises come from 30 Vietnamese localities and more than 20 countries and territories worldwide, such as Germany, Spain, the EU, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, and India.

They brought to the event assorted agricultural and aquatic products, processed foodstuff and beverages, as well as food processing, preservation and packaging technologies and equipment.

Hosted by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Foodexpo is the country’s largest and most comprehensive event in the country.

In her opening speech, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang stressed that Vietnam Foodexpo had been established as an effective trading and investment platform to help businesses in the food industry introduce and promote their brands, boost business cooperation, and expand their markets.

At the expo, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency launched a space for a digital trade promotion ecosystem which gathers the participation of major e-commerce platforms like Alibaba.com, Lazada, and Mediastep Software Vietnam Co., Ltd.

A business matching conference and other promoting activities are also scheduled during the four-day expo.
