According to Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Thanh Liem, the music festival is considered an opportunity to bring traditional music into the flow of modern music, contributing to preserving and spreading the values of national music and culture to the world. The festival is also an opportunity to bring modern music to the public; at the same time, it is expected to become a unique cultural and artistic programme with the city's own brand.
The event features performances in a variety of music genres, from jazz, pop and traditional music with high artistic quality, along with the participation of renowned Vietnamese and foreign music producers, musicians, singers and bands.
Organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, the event is an opportunity to introduce to international friends the beauty of traditional Vietnamese music, as well as a venue for domestic, foreign artists, musicians and music producers to exchange experience and introduce the latest and most advanced technology in the field of music.
It is also an opportunity to introduce to investors, music producers at home and abroad the vibrant and potential music market in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event will be held over three days and will consist of a wide range of activities, including a Hozo Band Contest, workshops on Vietnamese music amid the backdrop of Industry 4.0, World Music, and joint performances from domestic and international artists alike.
