Infographic: Gold prices remain at high levels on November 17
Global gold prices on November 17 edged down to 4,063.2 USD from their three-week peak. Domestic SJC gold bars and rings held steady at high levels, trading at 151 million VND per tael and 149 million VND per tael, respectively.
Constant selling pressure caused strong fluctuations in the Vietnamese stock market during the morning session. Towards the end of the session, positive capital inflows into the oil and gas sector helped the VN-Index maintain its positive performance at closing. At the close, the VN-Index increased by 3.54 points (+0.21%), reaching 1,713.83 points.
