Vietnam's benchmark VN-Index rose 0.43% to 1,265.05 points on January 24. The index closed 5.42 points higher after gaining 17.10 points in the previous session.
Global gold prices fell to 4,353.9 USD per ounce on August 14, ending a four-session winning streak. In the domestic market, gold prices also dropped sharply, with SJC gold bars down 1 million VND per tael to 143.3 million VND per tael.
