Vietnam's benchmark VN-Index on Friday rose 0.59% to 1,326.05 points, its highest since May 2022. The index closed 7.83 points higher after gaining 13.51 points in the previous session.
Global gold prices plunged on August 11 after reversing course, trading at 4,347.8 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and gold rings fell by a total of 2 million VND per tael, with buying and selling prices standing at 140.5-143.5 million VND per tael.
