Vietnam's benchmark VN-Index fell 0.34% to 1,287.84 points on October 2. The index closed 4.36 points lower after gaining 4.26 points in the previous session.
World gold prices fell sharply to 4,431.1 USD per ounce on September 5, amid a rebound in the US dollar and US Treasury bond yields. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and gold rings fell sharply in line with world prices, quoted at 147.6 million VND per tael and 147.1 million VND per tael, respectively.
