Viet Nam's benchmark VN-Index rose 1.01% to 1,765.12 points on October 13. The index closed 17.57 points higher after gaining 31.08 points in the previous session.
World gold prices on March 13 fell sharply to trade at 5,113 USD per ounce amidst a strengthening US dollar, putting short-term pressure on the precious metal's price after repeatedly reaching recent highs. Domestically, gold bar and gold ring prices decreased in line with world prices, selling at 184.8 million VND per tael.
