Binh, who is also a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee, congratulated Laos on its successful organisation of many big international events in 2012, including the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), which confirmed Laos’ position in the regional and international arena.
He informed the Lao leaders of the outcomes of his talks with the Lao Supreme People’s Procuracy and said that in the time to come, the two sides will continue implementing signed agreements, focusing on personnel training, information exchange and law-making, as well as working together in the fight against crimes.
The Lao leaders said that the delegation’s visit will contribute to strengthening the two countries’ special solidarity.
They highly valued the SPPV’s assistance to its Lao counterpart and suggested the two sides intensify co-operation, especially in personnel training and combating against organised crime.
The same day, on behalf of President Truong Tan Sang, Binh presented the Lao Supreme People’s Procuracy and a number of its high-ranking members with various Vietnamese medals and Insignias in recognition of their contributions to fostering relations between the two countries.
