Measures sought to strengthen coordination and advice on internal affairs and anti-corruption

The Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Commission for Internal Affairs and the Party Committee of the Central Agencies' Bloc signed a regulation on working cooperation in Hanoi on November 15.

The event was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC, Head of the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies’ Bloc Nguyen Van The.

The regulation on coordination forms the basis of agreement between the two agencies on the scope, principles, contents, responsibilities and methods of coordination.

Accordingly, the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs and the Party Committee of the Central Agencies’ Bloc will coordinate to carry out work related to internal affairs, the prevention of corruption and negative phenomena, and the inspection, supervision and discipline in Party organisations and agencies and units under the Party Committee of the Central Agencies’ Bloc; as well as perform the tasks assigned by the PCC, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption within the functions, duties and powers of the two agencies.

The coordination work ensures the centralised leadership and direction of the PCC, the Politburo and the Secretariat strictly comply with guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State; remain consistent with the principles of organisation and operation of the Party and the functions, tasks and powers of each agency; and actively and proactively cooperate to create favourable conditions to support each other so that each agency can fulfil its tasks.
