Medical staff congratulated on Vietnam Doctors’ Day

Politburo member, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong on February 14 extended greetings to leaders of the Ministry of Health, doctors, health workers, and employees of the health sector for the occasion of the Vietnam Doctors’ Day, which is observed on February 27 each year.

On behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, he conveyed his best wishes to medical staff across the nation for the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day.

The Politburo member also acknowledged and praised the achievements gained by the health sector in recent years and emphasised the whole society always appreciates the tireless efforts and sacrifices of the medical staff and doctors for the sake of public health.

Vietnam Doctor’s Day has become even more special this year because it is atime when the whole political system is trying to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic, requiring health workers and employees to exert more efforts for the safety of the whole country, he noted.

The Politburo member also underscored that in recent days, under the direction of the Secretariat and the Prime Minister, the health sector together with other branches and localities have devised strong and timely solutions to control Covid-19, earning the trust of the people.

The health sector needs to continue to uphold the spirit of serving the people, monitor and control the situation well, and at the same time take effective measures to meet the requirements of anti-epidemic work, he added.
