The NA Chairman and the delegation offered incense to pay tribute to former top NA leaders Bui Bang Doan and Le Quang Dao, for their great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party, to the country and to the Vietnamese NA.
Talking to the former top legislators’ families, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said despite many difficulties and challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and complicated changes in the world, Vietnam gained quite comprehensive results in 2022.
Which, the country’s GDP in 2022 was estimated to increase by 8.02%, the highest in the past 11 years, bringing the GDP scale to surpass 400 billion USD, for the first time to reach 409 billion USD. Vietnam’s position and prestige have been raised in the region and the world.

The NA continued to make many innovations and improve quality and operational efficiency, thereby completing a very large volume of work in terms of legislation, supreme supervision, decision-making on important issues, public service, foreign affairs, information and communications.
Representatives from the families of the former NA leaders Bui Bang Doan and Le Quang Dao gave sincere thanks to NA leader Vuong Dinh Hue for his visits.
Bui Bang Doan and Le Quang Dao were elected to hold the positions as top leaders of the Vietnamese National Assembly in the first and eighth tenures.
On the occasion, the family of late NA Chairman Le Quang Dao presented two books entitled “Quang Tri Diary in 1972” and “Tri Thien Campaign 1972”, the historical documents provided a perspective on the resistance war against the US, in which the late top NA leader was an important figure.
