The three programmes are those on building new-style rural areas, reducing poverty, and developing the economic situation for the living areas of ethnic minority groups and mountainous regions.
According to Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son, steering committees have been set up to provide directions and orientations on the deployment of the three programmes from district to communal level.
He stressed that the three programmes have helped to improve the lives of local people and contributed to enhancing infrastructure in rural areas.
However, he acknowledged that the three programmes have not yet been implemented equally across all communes as some localities have seen slow progress, particularly in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
He proposed the NA and Government provide further funding for Ha Giang province to fulfil the goals set out in the national target programme on building new-styled rural areas.
Speaking at the working session, NA Vice Chair Tran Quang Phuong highly appreciated the direction and leadership of the provincial authorities in actively, promptly and effectively implementing the tasks assigned under the three national target programs.
He asked the province to pay attention to completing the disbursement of investment for the three programmes and fulfil all goals set out in the programmes by 2025.
The same day, the NA Vice Chair visited the Vi Xuyen war martyrs’ cemetery and paid working visits to the Bach Ngoc and Ngoc Linh communes of Vi Xuyen district.
