The Japanese delegates were received by Chu Hong Thang, Deputy Head of the Political and Foreign Affairs Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Phan Bang Son, Deputy Chief of the Office of the newspaper.
At the working session, both sides appreciated the close cooperation between Nhan Dan Newspaper and Japanese partners over the years and discussed future directions to enhance mutual understanding and promote cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in various fields.
Speaking at the event, Thang briefed the participants on the history and development of Nhan Dan Newspaper — the central organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
He emphasised that, as the voice of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam, Nhan Dan Newspaper always focuses on promptly and accurately popularising the Party's guidelines, State policies, and socio-economic development of the country, while also serving as a bridge to convey the thoughts and aspirations of the people and contributing to bringing Vietnam's image to international friends
For her part, Ogawa Megumi highly appreciated the newspaper's important role in Vietnamese media, hailing that Nhan Dan Newspaper is a significant information channel which helps the Japanese people better understand Vietnam's development orientations and the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
The Japanese delegation’s working visit at Nhan Dan Newspaper not only demonstrated the Japanese Embassy's interest in Vietnamese media but also opened new prospects for cooperation, thus contributing to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
