Official appreciates DELL EMC’s cooperation in e-government building

A Vietnamese senior official has expressed how highly he values the cooperation of DELL EMC Group in Vietnam in helping to develop e-government and smart cities.

At a reception for visiting Vice President of DELL EMC Indochina Anothai Wettayakorn in Hanoi on July 11, Nguyen Van Binh – Politburo member, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and head of its Economic Commission – said the development of smart cities is one of Vietnam’s prioritised strategies, aimed at ensuring the effective direction of urbanisation and application of advanced technologies for Industry 4.0.

Politburo member Binh thanked DELL EMC for its participation in the Industry 4.0 Summit and Exhibition 2018, to be hosted by the Vietnamese Government and the commission on July 12-13.

He suggested that the group share experience and provide policy consultancy for Vietnam so that the country can actively and effectively engage in the fourth industrial revolution.

For his part, Anothai Wettayakorn spoke highly of Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements over recent years. He also shared his views on the vision and strategy for the development of its smart city projects and technology framework for the Government in general, and cities in particular.

He wished to continue close and effective collaboration with Vietnam in the time to come.
