Fifteen enterprises were granted the Gold Prize of the National Quality Award and 62 others were presented with the Silver Prize under the Government decision.
Three enterprises, namely Cienco 4, Thibidi, and Ladophar were honoured with the Asia-Pacific Global Performance Excellence Awards which were selected by the Asia Pacific Quality Organisation (APQO).
The awards aimed to honour enterprises that have made considerable improvements to their product and service quality, competitiveness capacity, and performance.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy PM Dam said that award winners have made significant contributions to national economic growth, emphasising that the national economy must have a good growth rate and high competitiveness to support national construction and defence.
He hoped that the awards will attract more attention from enterprises and the whole society to create motivation for the Vietnamese enterprise community to innovate and improve their performance and productivity, contributing to national development.
He also emphasised the need to remove all obstacles for enterprises and improve the business environment to facilitate operations of enterprises and encourage start-ups.
Initiated in 1996, the National Quality Award has been held for 20 consecutive years, with more than 1,700 enterprises honoured.
