Earlier, on April 6, the first case to test positive for the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 confirmed in Ha Loi Village. Therefore, Me Linh District issued a decision to set up medical lockdown in the village (with 2,973 households and a population of 10,872) from April 8 to May 5.

At midnight on May 6, the functional forces removed all quarantine checkpoints at the gateways to Ha Loi Village. Representatives from Me Linh District People’s Committee congratulated the villagers and especially the medical staff and public security and military forces who have made efforts to control the spread of Covid-19 epidemic over the past 28 days.

The District’s leader asked the local relevant agencies and organisations, Me Linh Commune and Ha Loi residents to continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister’s Directive No.19/CT-TTg as well as Directive No.07/CT-UBND from the Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee on Covid-19 prevention and control in the new situation.

Ha Loi consists of 11 hamlets with over 2,000 households. Thirteen Covid-19 patients were recorded in the village. However, since April 15, there have been no new cases in the outbreak area.

Before the quarantine order was lifted, all villagers were sampled and tested negative for the SARS-Cov-2 virus.
