At a working session with HCM City's authorities and Steering Committee 1568 tasked with reviewing and dealing with obstacles related to various projects in the city, PM Chinh said HCM City, recognised as the economic powerhouse and the largest financial and commercial hub of the country, plays a pivotal role in overcoming project-related challenges. The city's efforts are significant to unlocking resources to drive local development, benefiting not only the southern key economic region but the nation as a whole.
Regarding 12 pending projects requiring the Government's settlement, the PM tasked the Steering Committee, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Government Office to collect feedback at the working session to submit to the Government for the building of a resolution.
For 200 projects under review by the city and 32 real estate projects already reviewed, he asked the city to classify and deal with them in line with new legal regulations. Those beyond its authority should be reported to the Steering Committee and the Government for consideration, PM Chinh noted.
According to the municipal People’s Committee, the southern economic hub has successfully reviewed and resolved issues for 34 out of 66 real estate projects within its authority. However, 200 other projects are currently under examination, facing various challenges.
Notably, 12 key projects remain unresolved, requiring the Government's intervention. These projects are hindered by issues such as land clearance, inconsistent land use conditions and purposes, financial plans, among others.
