Regarding the price of solar power, the NA Standing Committee also proposed the Government direct relevant agencies to soon issue price mechanisms.

On November 6,the top legislator held a working session with key leaders of Ninh Thuan on the province’s socio-economic development in the first nine months of 2021 and the implementation of the NA Resolution 31 on the termination of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant project.

He said that the NA’s Resolution 31 is an important and correct decision and the NA can study specific mechanisms for the province if needed.

The NA Chairman said that Ninh Thuan is a locality with harsh natural conditions, limited investment resources for infrastructure and high poverty rate. However, with great determination of local authorities and the attention of the Party and State, especially after NA Resolution 31 and Government Resolution 115, Ninh Thuan has made great strides.

Ninh Thuan rose to the group of provinces with the highest GDP growth rate in both 2019 and 2020 and is approaching the goal of becoming a renewable energy hub of the country.

The top legislator suggested that the province accelerate the restructuring of agriculture in association with high technology and climate change adaptation and promote the development of manufacturing industries, supporting industries, and the infrastructure of industrial parks.

He also requested the province to overcome weaknesses regarding disbursement of public investment capital, ODA loans, the stimulation of domestic consumption demand, the saving of expenses, and planning work.

The NA Chairman noted that the NA Standing Committee would ask the Government to allow Ninh Thuan province to apply a 10% on-lending rate for new urgent investment projects using ODA capital until the end of 2023.
