Hanoi leaders pay tribute to Lenin on his birthday

A delegation of the Hanoi Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee on April 22 laid wreaths at Vladimir Ilyich Lenin’s statue in Lenin Park on Dien Bien Phu Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, on the occasion of his 154th birthday (April 22, 1870).

The delegation was led by Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, Tran Sy Thanh.

Hanoi leaders recalled the great contributions of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin to the world and Vietnam’s revolutionary causes. He was an outstanding political theorist and prominent leader of the world’s working class, the developer of Marxism and the founder of the Soviet State - the first worker-peasant state in the world.

The Hanoi leaders also expressed their determination to follow Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh ideology to build a more prosperous Hanoi.
