Hanoi leaders pay floral tribute to Lenin

A delegation from the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, led by Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, laid wreaths at the statue of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin on Ba Dinh Street on April 21, on the occasion of his 153rd birthday anniversary (April 22, 1870-2023).

Attending the delegation, also included member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of Hanoi municipal People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Chairman of Hanoi municipal People’s Council; and Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee.

The Hanoi leaders paid their respect and commemorated Lenin, an outstanding political theorist, the prominent leader of the working class around the world, the defender and developer of Marxism, in the context of capitalism turning to imperialism, and the founder of the Soviet State - the first worker-peasant State in the world. He led the Soviet people to embark on the construction of real socialism.

The officials pledged absolute loyalty to Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, unity and steadiness in following the ideals and the path of the proletarian revolution, towards developing the capital city to be more beautiful, civilised and modern.

On the same day, leaders of Ba Dinh District, representatives of the Hanoi youth, agencies and organisations around the city, also paid floral tributes to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
