Special art programme praises heroic history of Vietnam People's Army

On the evening of December 21, at the Vietnam Military History Museum, Vietnam Television coordinat ed with the Ministry of Defence to organi s e a political art programme entitled “The Historical Path” in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defence Day.

The programme included three chapters. Chapter 1 — “The Independent Path” recreated the path of formation and development of the Vietnam People’s Army as an inevitable requirement of the revolution and national history.

Chapter 2 — “The Unified Path” depicted the legendary paths that contributed to the victory of the resistance war against the US to reunify the country.

Chapter 3 — “The Road to the New Era” conveyed and spread President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching on building a strong people's army, providing strong support for the struggle to consolidate peace and achieve unification, independence, and democracy throughout the country.

The programme brought many art performances that are elaborately staged, combining large scenes, reports, and conversations, while vividly depicting the heroic army’s 80-year journey of building, fighting, and development.
