186 Command Centre inaugurated

On December 21, in Hanoi, Centre 186 under the 86 High Command, the Ministry of Defence held an inauguration ceremony for the 186 Command Centre on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22).

At the inauguration ceremony, on behalf of the unit’s leaders, Colonel Hoang Van Viet, Commander of Centre 186 reported on the process of building the unit and the Command Centre.

Centre No.186 is formerly Centre 1 of the Department of Information Technology, General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (later becoming Brigade 1, High Command 86).

Over the years, with the attention of the Ministry of Defence and the Standing Party Committee, the Head of High Command 86, and the agencies of the Command, Centre 186 has gradually improved and developed.

Expressing his joy and pride when the unit has a new Command Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tri Thanh, Political Director of Centre 186, said that the unit will promote political and ideological education so that each officer and soldier, especially within the younger generation, will be suitably motivated and self-aware to strive to complete all assigned tasks.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the delegates planted souvenir trees on the campus of the Centre.
