National symposium highlights revolutionary morality in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style

A national symposium on enhancing revolutionary morality and wiping out individualism in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style was held in Hanoi on May 12.

The events, jointly organised by the Party Committee of the Central Agencies’ Bloc, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, the Communist Review, and Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, aimed to celebrate the 132nd anniversary of the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2022) and the 15th founding anniversary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies’ Bloc and the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc.

In his speech, Politburo member cum Permanent member of the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong spoke highly of the initiative to organise the event by the four agencies. He emphasised that enhancing revolutionary morality and fighting against individualism is an important and practical content that must be carried out in regular, long-term and persistent manner.

Faced with the current deterioration of political ideology, morality and lifestyle of a number of cadres and party members, more than ever, the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system in terms of morality, and the fight against individualism must be identified as an urgent task, he noted.

In his conclusion speech, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC's Commission for Communication and Education, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association Le Quoc Minh affirmed that the symposium was a practical activity to express respect for and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh’s great activities and contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people.

The event was also expected to provide an opportunity to promote the study and understand more deeply about the stature and value of Ho Chi Minh Thought, especially his teachings on Party building and rectification.

The Organising Committee had received nearly 100 reports and presentations from leaders and scientists across the country. Opinions at the symposium continued to clarify theoretical, practical, supplementary issues, and develop Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style through his work entitled “Improving revolutionary morality, wiping out individualism”, thereby applying creatively the reality of Party building and rectification in the current political system.

* On this occasion, a photo and book exhibition on enhancing revolutionary morality and wiping out individualism in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style was also held.

The exhibition displayed nearly 100 panels with more than 500 photos introducing the ethical standards and results of the implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No.05 on the acceleration of the study and adherence to President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until May 30.
