NDO - Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia has spoken highly of Nhan Dan Newspaper’s innovative spirit while visiting the newspaper on the occasion of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

The senior Party official said he expected the central organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam to build on its achievements and continue to affirm its role in the Vietnamese press to deserve the trust put in by the Party, State and people.

Receiving Nghia on June 21, Nhan Dan’s Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh stated that the newspaper has seen significant changes, becoming a bright spot in digital transformation among media agencies over the past year to the applause of readers, colleagues, Party leaders and government agencies.

He said that such positive changes have been brought about by young reporters, editors and staff, who make up the majority of the newspaper’s workforce.

Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh highlighted Nhan Dan’s presence on social media and podcast platforms to diversify the forms of communicating official information and reach a wider audience, especially young people.

In addition, Nhan Dan is working with local Party newspapers to support them in terms of not only technology and expertise but also legal mechanisms.

While extending his best wishes to Nhan Dan, Nghia commended the newspaper’s recent positive results, stating that the newspaper inherited the position of the revolutionary press while stepping up innovation to become a leading media agency in this respect.

He applauded Nhan Dan’s technological application to increase its impact among not only Party members but also people from all walks of life and international friends, helping to widely disseminate the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws.

The high-ranking Party official urged Nhan Dan to continue carrying both in-depth articles on theoretical matters and news reports in plain language close to the people as well as make good use of multimedia while focusing on reporting the reality of life and the bright examples of good people and good deeds.

He also asked Nhan Dan to work with the Central Commission for Communication and Education and the Vietnam Journalists Association to organise training courses for local Party newspapers to learn about modern journalism.
