Politburo member and National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong made this statement in Tuyen Quang on July 31, while working with provincial leaders. The session focused on implementation of the Party Central Committee’s Resolution 4 on Party building and Politburo’s Instruction 3 on promoting the movement to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh's moral example.
The Politburo member asked the province to utilise its strengths and available resources to quicken economic restructuring in the direction of industrialisation and modernization, and to renovate the growth model.
Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example is the Party’s key policy, Politburo member Phong said, stressing that this task is the immediate and long-term duty of every official and Party member. She also emphasised the need to build a truly pure and strong political system and Party organisations with strong leadership and combative capacity.
