The statement was made by Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, Bui Truong Giang, during the opening of a national teleconference held by the Commission on December 17, aimed at researching and studying the "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" campaign in 2020 for "Strengthening the national great unity bloc, building a clean and strong Party and political system."
The conference was held simultaneously at 70 venues across the nation, which were at the local Party Committees’ headquarters with the participation of more than 500,000 people.
In his opening remarks, Giang affirmed that the conference was to continue raising the awareness of the whole Party, all people and the entire army about the basic contents and great values of thought, virtue and style of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, thus continuing to bring the education and following of his ideology, morality and style into reality and our everyday life, associated with the implementation of the Party Resolutions on Party building.
Analysing the advantages, difficulties and challenges of the world and the regional situation, Giang emphasised that the current outlook requires the whole Party, the army and the people to continue to firmly follow the Party's revolutionary ideology and the goal of national independence and socialism, as well as promoting the great national unity bloc to build a clean and strong Party and the political system.
Saying that 2020 is the last year to implement the 12th National Party Congress’s Resolution, preparing for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress, Giang stressed that the study is very necessary, contributing to the building of a truly clean and strong Party and political system, while promoting synchronous and comprehensive reforms, firmly defending the Fatherland and maintaining a peaceful environment that meet the revolutionary requirements in the new period.
At the event, delegates heard Professor, Dr. Hoang Chi Bao, former member of the Party Central Theoretical Council, delivered his presentation themed “Strengthening the great national unity bloc, building a clean and strong Party and political system based on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.”
