Top Vietnamese leaders extend congratulations to China on National Day

Top leaders of Vietnam sent messages of congratulations to their Chinese counterparts on China’s 69th National Day (October 1, 1949 - 2018), announced the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 30.

In the messages, the Vietnamese leaders congratulated the Chinese people on their achievements over the past 69 years, expressing their belief that the Chinese people will fulfill the tasks set at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), accomplish the targets of building a moderately prosperous society and building China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful, contributing to peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world at large.

The Vietnamese leaders also affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have a consistent appreciation for the relationship with China, hoping to strengthen and promote the traditional friendship between the two countries, deepen substantial cooperation, and foster the Vietnam – China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a stable and healthy manner, bringing practical benefits to their people and contributing to peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and the world.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also extended a congratulatory message to Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
