During the working visit, the top legislator presented a name board to Dong Son primary and secondary school.

The school, which was built at a total cost of VND8.3 billion, consists of 18 classrooms and 21 boarding rooms serving for 36 teachers and 115 students.

The fund for its construction was backed by NA Chairwoman Ngan through the auction of the balls and jerseys with the signature of all members of Vietnam’s U23 football team.

The school was put into operation right before the new 2019-2020 academy, contributing to helping children, particularly from the Dao ethnic minority group, who will have a more favourable studying environment.

On the occasion, 50 local students who are living in difficult circumstances received scholarships.

The NA leader and other delegates visited and presented gifts to several policy beneficiaries as well as poor and near-poverty ridden families in Dong Son commune.
