Cultural and Tourism Week to promote Ca Mau’s potential

A wide variety of attractive activities will be held during the Ca Mau Cultural and Tourism Week 2019 which is scheduled to take place from December 10-15.

The information was released at a press conference for the week in the Mekong River Delta province of Ca Mau on November 8.

In addition to major cities and provinces, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh and Bac Giang, and the Mekong River Delta localities, the event will also see the participation of artists, association and enterprises from Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and the Republic of Korea.

The main activities will be a trade and tourism fair, a culinary festival, and the inauguration of a Mother Statue, a temple dedicated to Great Father Lac Long Quan and the Ca Mau Cape Flagpole.

Art troupes from many provinces and cities around the country will give performances in a variety of art forms, including Quan Ho (love duet singing), Cheo (traditional opera), the Central Highlands Gongs, Hanoi Circus, Cai Luong (reformed theatre), Khmer arts and Don ca tai tu (southern folk singing).

Conferences and seminars to promote tourism among the Mekong River Delta provinces and participating localities will be held as part of the week.

The Ca Mau Cultural and Tourism Week 2019 aims to introduce the potential and strengths of Ca Mau provinces to both domestic and international visitors.

The event will offer an opportunity for art groups and travel businesses to meet, exchange experience and enhance cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism.
