President Vo Van Thuong meets Vietnamese community in Austria

President Vo Van Thuong had a meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Austria and the Union of Vietnamese People Associations in Europe, and visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Austria on July 23 evening (local time).

Speaking at the meeting, President Thuong affirmed that the Party and State always consider the overseas Vietnamese community, including those in Austria and Europe, as an integral part of the great national solidarity bloc, one of the driving forces, and a source of the country's development strength.

The Party and State always pay attention to and have mechanisms and policies to support overseas Vietnamese to have full legal status, stabilise their lives, develop their economy, and comply with law of and integrate into the host country, he noted.

The State leader also expressed his hope that Vietnamese people in Austria and Europe will continue acting as a bridge for the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and European countries.
