While in Viet Nam, the Korean leader paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Ha Noi.

He met with Party General Secretary To Lam and State President Luong Cuong, and held talks with NA Chairman Man.

The host leaders expressed confidence that Speaker Woo’s visit would be successful and play an important role in furthering cooperation between the two parliaments, while laying the legal groundwork for stable, comprehensive, and sustainable bilateral collaboration across all spheres.

They noted that, given shared strategic interests and years of successful cooperation, Viet Nam and the RoK are well-positioned to shape a new strategic vision for collaboration and create opportunities for mutual growth. They expressed hope that the two countries would continue as close friends and trusted partners on the path to realising their development goals and aspirations.

Speaker Woo conveyed regards from President Lee Jae Myung and other high-ranking Korean leaders to General Secretary Lam and high-ranking leaders of Viet Nam.

Congratulating Viet Nam on its recent development achievements, the leader expressed belief that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and General Secretary Lam, and drawing on its potential and determination, the country will continue to grow strongly and achieve its 2045 goal of gaining the high-income status.

The RoK will accompany Viet Nam in successfully pursuing this important objective, he promised.

Speaker Woo expressed hope that the two legislatures would carry forward their role in promoting economic cooperation, and implement diverse exchange and collaboration activities, contributing to fostering political trust and ties between lawmakers, enhancing parliamentary effectiveness, and boosting Viet Nam–RoK relations.

On this occasion, the legislative leaders signed a new memorandum of understanding on cooperation between two NAs. Speaker Woo and his delegation also attended the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly of Viet Nam.

The Korean delegation also visited the northern province of Ninh Binh.
