Safe "green zones" established at border gates of Lang Son province

The 3-layer "green zones" were officially launched at Huu Nghi, Tan Thanh and Chi Ma border gates in Cao Loc, Van Lang and Loc Binh districts of Lang Son province, respectively.

The “green zones” aim to ensure the import and export activities at the border gates, contributing to strengthening the confidence of the Chinese side, in the prevention and control of COVID-19, from the Vietnamese side border gates.

Accordingly, all officials working in the border-gate areas, enterprises, organisations and individuals, engaged in import-export and transportation activities, organisations and individuals providing import and export services, customs agents through border gates, service workers at border gates, drivers and people accompanying vehicles transporting goods, are all managed and applied health control measures, to ensure the highest level of COVID-19 prevention and control.

Under the plan, the first layer of control in the buffer zone includes the transhipment zone and the non-tariff area. The second layer of control will be located at the Barie No. 2, at the border gates of Huu Nghi, Tan Thanh and Chi Ma. The last layer is applied to drivers of the specialised driving team.

In addition, people, vehicles and goods are strictly controlled under these 3 layers, to prevent any cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, before entering and leaving the border gate areas.

When infection cases are detected, the medical forces at the checkpoints of the non-tariff zone and the goods transhipment zone, take charge of disinfecting the locations of suspected COVID-19 patients. At the same time, the medical forces coordinate with the districts’ health centres to transfer suspected infected people to the isolation area for treatment.

Director of Lang Son Provincial Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Dinh Dai said to establish the “green zones” following regulations, the Department sent a document to the Departments of Industry and Trade of all provinces and cities around the country, to disseminate regulations on the implementation of the “green zones”.
