On the afternoon of March 21, the People’s Committee of Hung Yen province in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organised a seminar on equitable energy transition in Hung Yen province.

At the seminar, delegates focused on discussing the current status of policies to support equitable energy transition in Vietnam; policies to support enterprises in the process of energy transition, green transition in Hung Yen province; policies to support small and medium enterprises in the process of energy transition - Perspective from enterprises; opportunities and challenges of small and medium enterprises in Hung Yen in the process of energy transition, green transition.

During the discussion, the delegates shared their opinions on completing mechanisms and policies to support businesses in the green transition process, especially small and medium enterprises; long-term strategies, associated with training high-quality human resources and attracting investment in renewable energy projects; promoting the energy transition process towards sustainability, harmonising the interests of the state, businesses and people; especially the difficulties and obstacles in accessing preferential loans, the consumption of solar energy in industrial parks...

According to Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hung Nam, Hung Yen province is in the process of industrialisation and modernisation, receiving many domestic and foreign investment projects, so a fair energy transition is not only a global trend but also an urgent requirement for Hung Yen province to protect the environment, the rights of businesses and workers.

Therefore, the discussion contents at the seminar will be an important basis for Hung Yen province to build an energy transition roadmap suitable to actual conditions, ensuring sustainable development, harmonising the interests of businesses, workers and the community, he noted.
