Thang praised Samsung's achievements in Vietnam, noting that in the first 11 months of 2024, Samsung recorded revenue of over 58 billion USD, with exports topping 50 billion USD. These results have positively contributed to boosting Vietnam’s trade volume and fostering local economic development, he said.

Samsung has actively shared information and experience with Vietnam in building investment policies, provided support during the COVID-19 pandemic, and contributed to disaster relief efforts.

For his part, Choi said that 2025 marks the firm's 30 years of presence in Vietnam.

He stressed that Samsung's export turnover reached 55 billion USD in 2023, accounting for 16% of Vietnam’s total export value, and maintained this level in 2024 despite global economic challenges.

Samsung plans to construct the world’s largest display manufacturing facility in the northern province of Bac Ninh, and commits to making contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development, he stated.

Choi pointed to the strong partnership between Samsung and the HCMA, particularly in personnel training and capacity-building projects, affirming the group's commitment to furthering bilateral cooperation in this area.

Thang expresses his hope that in any position, Choi will continue fostering relations between the two nations and cooperation between Samsung and the HCMA. He asked for Samsung's further support to the programme for Vietnamese policymakers to explore Samsung's vision, core values and orientations, focusing on key industries such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

In recognition of his efforts, Thang presented Choi with the HCMA's insignia For the cause of political theory education and training.
